Throwing Functional PotteryNicholas Guerrero is giving advanced classes in throwing functional pottery.  The cost is $100.00 for four two-hour sessions.  Classes are being offered Wednesdays from 11am to 3pm, but days and hours are flexible depending on number of students.  For more information call Nicholas at 916-402-2930.

Alpha-Fired CeramicsLocated at 4675 Aldona Lane (off Auburn Blvd near Orange Grove, in Carmichael). Community CollegesThere are four community colleges in the Sacramento area which all offer wonderful pottery (wheel throwing) and sculpture classes.  Cosumnes River College (instructor Yoshio Taylor) and Sacramento City College (instructors Escobel and Schumacher) are in the south Sacramento area, American River College is in the Carmichael/Orangevale area, and Sierra College is in Rocklin.  Check the Los Rios Community College district website for information on class schedules:  www.losrios.edu.

California State University at Sacramento (CSUS):  Located at 6000 J Street in East Sacramento, CSUS offers a wide variety of art classes, particularly sculpture and pottery classes taught by a long line of renowned artists.
